Black Rock Solar is a new non-profit organization sponsored by Burning Man that addresses climate change by helping to increase the adoption of renewable energy sources, specifically by giving away low or no cost solar power.
For the organization’s first project, they have partnered with MMA Renewable Ventures and Sierra Pacific Power to provide solar energy equipment to Gerlach and Lovelock, the two Nevada cities closest to where the Burning Man event takes place.
