The rising floods across southern Louisiana caused a driver to veer off the road and into the muddy waters. Seeing what happened, a brave man named David Phung jumped from the safety of his rescue boat to save a woman and her dog from a certain death by drowning in her submerged vehicle. Phung had first rescued the disoriented woman who then pleaded with Phung to find her missing pup. Despite his doubts, Phung took a deep breath and emerged with a shaken, but alert white dog .
