Santa Monica BMW beats Audi in a game of billboard chess.

I love advertising done well. Nothing, but nothing, lights up my eyes like a good old fashioned snark. While this one is not subversive like the work of Ron English, the BLF or the Public Ad Campaign, it is well done and credit should be given where credit it due.

It is indeed a great billboard. unfortunately, there really isn’t anything in bmw’s ad that says why the bmw should trump the audi and deserves to win. ie. it’s an ad for it’s own sake.

I think BMW is letting their car speak for itself. It’s exactly what Audi is doing in the other billboard.

“Here’s our new car, the A4.”
“Ya, well here’s ours”

That’s funny. BMW is a pretty aggressive advertiser. Have you seen the 3 minute video advertisement for the M6 on Adwido?
