“Caught In The Middle Of A 3-Way Mix” is a tribute to the groundbreaking Beastie Boys sophomore record Paul’s Boutique created by DJs Cheeba, Moneyshot, and DJ Food using the album’s original samples, a cappella vocal tracks, interviews conducted with the group around the time of of its release in 1989, and Beastie Boys commentary from the album’s reissue. The remix took three years to compete — utilizing 150 tracks — and was unveiled in time for the 25th anniversary of the original album’s release.
