The Bag of Nails pub in Bristol, England is a place that offers good music, draught craft beer and the unexpected ability to cuddle with native cats while enjoying a pint. Unlike the now wonderfully ubiquitous cat cafes, Bag of Nails doesn’t require its patrons to schedule time to hang out with the cats, they just wander freely around the bar, choosing the people they like. Bar owner Luke Daniels spoke about the cats in an interview with the Bristol Post.
We have 15 cats in the pub – we once had 24 but that was too much. The reaction is mostly positive. Occasionally you might have some people walking in and leaving and some might be allergic to cats but people love it. Some of them [the cats] come and sit on your lap
