Automatic is an app that tracks, analyzes, and encourages users to improve their driving habits. After the Automatic Link is plugged into a car’s data port, the “smart driving assistant” can monitor users’ driving habits and prompt drivers when their actions waste gas. The app provides a weekly driving score with information on how to save fuel, and also shows where your car is parked. If your check engine light comes on, the app will notify you and offer possible solutions, and if you’re in a crash Automatic will notify 911 of your situation and location. Automatic Links for iOS and Android are currently available for pre-order — the iOS model will ship in May, and an Android version will be available this fall.
