		<description>It IS awesome. Not surprising that the Quakers did this: AFS was resolutely liberal and tolerant, and inclusive. Their POV in this doc was fairly radical for the time. In the opening, the &quot;Shoes&quot; the narrator refers to are the White Shoes, a big gang from the Mission district in the late 50s. A cool, more white-bread companion to this would be kinescopes of &#039;Dick Stewart&#039;s KPIX Dance Party&#039; from the same period, but they likely don&#039;t exist.</description>
