Artist Plans To Transform Bridges Into ‘Human Harps’

For her “Human Harp” project, artist and researcher Di Mainstone plans to transform bridges around the world into instrumental sculptures that will allow anyone to “play” them. In collaboration with Queen Mary University of London, she is hoping to bring this unique sound and movement installation to the reopening of New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge in 2014. The Creators Project recently featured Mainstone in a short documentary film that describes her project more in-depth.
