ArtCar Fest 2012 will hit the road and travel to Reno, Nevada for this year’s festivities from July 20-22, 2012. On the evening of July 20, the ArtCars have been invited to attend the closing night party for the Mutant Rides: Origin of a Species Burning Man art car and costumes exhibit at the National Automotive Museum. On the afternoon of Saturday July 21, Harrod Blank will show his award-winning documentary about ArtCars, Automorphosis, at the Nevada Museum of Art. That evening, DJ Spooky will be performing his Antarctica piece at the museum. A fundraising campaign has been started on IndieGoGo to help the artists cover their food, fuel and lodging costs.
