iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display

Today Apple announced the iPad Air and an iPad Mini with Retina display at their October 22nd event in San Francisco.

The newly announced iPad Air has a 9.7-inch Retina display, measures 7.5mm thin, and weighs just one pound. On the inside, the tablet has a 64-bit A7 processor and a M7 motion co-processor, just like the iPhone 5s. The iPad Air also has a 5-megapixel iSight camera and Apple promises ten hours of battery life. It will be available in silver and white as well as space grey and black beginning November 1st. The 16GB model starts at $499, and the 16GB Wi-Fi and cellular model costs $629.

Apple also announced that it will be refreshing the iPad Mini with a 2048 x 1568 pixel Retina display. The new iPad Mini has also been updated with an A7 processor, a 5-megapixel iSight camera, and a 1080p FaceTime camera, and ten hours of battery life. Silver and Black versions of the iPad Mini will be available in November for $399 with Wi-Fi or $529 with mobile data.
