‘Anya’, An Animated Short Created to Benefit Russian Orphanages

Irish production company Brown Bag Films created the computer animated short “Anya” to help benefit the charity To Russia With Love, an organization in Dublin that provides Russian orphans with healthcare and education. The moving short follows the life of a young girl after arriving at an orphanage via train on a snowy night.

Unlike an advert, people are more likely to share a film online with friends or family, which of course helps spread the word about the charity. It’s ‘visual busking’ in a way. We’re all used to charity singles and calendars, so we applied the same approach to a full five minute computer animated film instead.
