An intense Florida lightning storm was captured in 7,000 fps slow motion by professor Ningyu Liu at the Florida Institute of Technology‘s Geospace Physics Laboratory. Played back at 700 fps, the video shows the lightning strikes moving down to the Earth in jerky steps instant of near-instant flashes.
