A Disturbing Photo Series That Visualizes the Truly Parasitic Nature of the Ubiquitous Smartphone

In his elegant photo series “SUR-FAKE”, French photographer Antoine Geiger has disturbingly visualized the truly parasitic nature of the universally ubiquitous smartphone by demonstrating how the singular interaction of checking one’s phone can lead to the loss of body and soul.

This series is an echo project of Geiger’s previous series “SUR-FACE”, which featured faces being completely obscured by objects.
