Always Interactive Campaign Seeks to Change the Meaning of the Expression “Like A Girl”

Inspired by a study that showed that a girl’s confidence plummets during puberty, Always Feminine Products is seeking to change the meaning of the expression “like a girl” from its longstanding negative interpretation (“run like a girl”) to an empowering call to action with the wonderful interactive campaign #likeagirl, directed by Laura Green.

When the words ‘like a girl’ are used to mean something bad, it is profoundly disempowering. I am proud to partner with Always to shed light on how this simple phrase can have a significant and long-lasting impact on girls and women. I am excited to be a part of the movement to redefine ‘like a girl’ into a positive affirmation.
