Adam Savage of ‘Mythbusters’ Shows Off His Lovely NASA Mercury-Era Spacesuit Replica

Adam Savage Mercury Spacesuit

Adam Savage of Mythbusters enjoys space exploration paraphernalia to the point where he purchased a custom-made replica of a NASA Apollo flight jacket, but even more impressive perhaps is Savage’s newly acquired custom-made NASA Mercury-era spacesuit replica. According to Tested, “it’s the iconic U.S. Navy Mark IV suit designed by B.F. Goodrich Company and worn by astronauts like John Glenn” crafted for the most part by professional costume company The Magic Wardrobe with a few specific modifications.

Due to the many modifications made to the suit during the course of the Mercury missions, Savage’s version is a hybrid design rather than one specific mission’s suit. Tested has a full set of photographs of the suit, including Savage within it, on their website.
