Actors From the 1979 Cult Film ‘The Warriors’ Take One Last Subway Ride Back to Coney Island Together

The original cast members of the 1979 cult favorite film The WarriorsMichael Beck (Swan) David Harris (Cochise), Dorsey Wright (Cleon), Terry Michos (Vermin) and Thomas G. Waites (Fox) – rode the Q train out to Coney Island, Brooklyn, where the gang was originally invited to “come out to play-ay”.

This final subway ride was part of an event dedicated to the gang where fans and former extras greeted them with a hearty welcome. They were also met with social clubs who took their inspiration from the film. One member spoke with Rolling Stone about the purpose of the clubs.

Basically, this is a social club for Coney Island. …We started it for the youth though, because of all the gang violence that was happening in our town and what not. We tried to get all the youth to join us instead of joining real gangs.

Rolling Stone also spoke with the actors.
