16-year-old maker Ben Vagle has built an SUV-size version of his LEGO walking machine TrotBot. TrotBot scales obstacles as well as smooth terrain with its modified tear-drop foot-path that makes use of a heel. Vagle and his team first used the LEGO-scale version of the work on the design before scaling it up, but have since used what they learned from the large-scale TrotBot to rework the smaller LEGO model with the intention of scaling it up to the size of a horse.
