Ruben’s Elevator” is a short film by Dress Code that tells the wonderful story of Ruben Pardo, the vivacious man who has been working as the elevator operator at the Wilshire Tower in Los Angeles for the past forty years. Pardo’s love of life and cheerfulness is palpable as he talks about his childhood, his responsibilities and his family. And he really loves his job.

Seventy-five year old Ruben Pardo is the oldest elevator operator in Los Angeles. For six days a week over the past 40 years, he has helped the patrons of 5514 Wilshire Blvd “up and down” while enlightening them with positive musings on the simple joys of life. Happy Anniversary Ruben!
