A Determined Amateur Quickly Learns to Play ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ on Violin in 13 Hours

Determined amateur Mike Boyd quickly taught himself to play the violin in a little over 13 hours for an episode of his Learn Quick series. Being able to play the violin is not as easily defined as some of Boyd’s other quickly learned skills like juggling, picking a lock, or solve a Rubik’s cube, so he left it up to a Twitter vote as to whether he has the skills required to say he plays the violin.

Regardless of poll results, Boyd did manage a pretty nice cover version of “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by The Verve. To compare Boyd’s performance, here is the original video for the song.
