A Charmingly Curious Baby Tamandua Introduces Himself to Coyote Peterson and His Crew

While spending time at the Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Costa Rica, Brave Wilderness host Coyote Peterson spent some time with a very curious and charming baby tamandua named Barrou, who introduced himself to everyone. Barrou was brought to the center after his mother was killed. The hope is to release Barrou back into the wild once he’s big enough to defend himself.

The Lesser Anteater, more commonly known in Costa Rica as a Tamandua, can grow to nearly 3 feet in length and weigh close to 30 lbs. However today, at the Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary in Dominical Costa Rica, the team are filming with Barrou, an orphaned Tamandua, that is by far the smallest Anteater they have ever seen!
