ChatterBox Arts International presents The 7th Annual San Francisco Altered Barbie Show which takes place September 10th through October 4th at Shotwell 50 Studios in San Francisco. In celebration of Barbie’s 50th birthday, 60 artists have resurrected and reinvented Barbie and Ken dolls in the form of art and performace.
Cougars Rule and that goes for Ken too! Celebrating artists from around the Bay who reuse everything to make Barbie and Ken into recycled and re-usable art; including mixed-media, painting, printmaking, photography, quilts, fashion, poetry & 3D Barbies with video, performance and film! Over 100 artists showcase their eco-friendly ken and Barbie art.
The 7th Annual San Francisco Altered Barbie Exhibition is a cultural identity show of recycled and reusable Barbie and Ken art that includes performance on all levels! oh so San Francisco!

Scott, your post made me remember a very controversial Skipper doll that came out in the 70s… “Growing Up Skipper” would grow boobs when you twisted her arm! I did some googling and found this demonstration. Just thought you’d be amused.
