Now in its second year, the Robot Film Festival is a day long celebration of robots on film. A screening of Robot & Frank opens the festival, which also includes juried screenings and live performances. This year’s festival happens July 14, 2012 at New York City’s 3LD Art & Technology Center. Tickets are available to purchase now.
The official awards ceremony of the Robot Film Festival, the “Botskers,” honored the winners in a black tie, red carpet gala. We encourage filmmakers to highlight innovation, explore frontiers before technically feasible and investigate humanity, machinery and the larger symbolisms within. The festival was founded by Heather Knight of Marilyn Monrobot and is co-organized by Marek Michalowski and Chrys Wu.
