Timbuk2 Blogger Bag

Timbuk2 Blogger Bag

So I’ve been a fan of Timbuk2 bags for years and I’ve been waiting a long time for them to come out with a good vertical laptop bag. Well the wait is over, I just picked up their new bag “The Blogger”. It fits my 15” MacBook Pro, Canon 5D and an extra lens, while being a lot less bulky than a traditional horizontal laptop messenger bag. Plus it automaticaly generates permalinks and trackbacks, with comments enabled. It bet they called it The Blogger so people like me would blog about it. It worked.

Timbuk2’s newest computer bag “the Blogger” is a vertical shoulder bag featuring ballistic nylon exterior, classic Timbuk2 three-panel design and a built-in padded laptop compartment (fits 15” laptop). Two exterior pockets and rubberized bottom keep contents protected at all times. Padded shoulder strap adds comfort and convenience.

Speaking of Timbuk2, they recently opened their new flagship retail store in Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, but it is for custom, built-to-order bags only. They have some really cool bag designs there, but I was disappointed that they did not carry their full line of bags or at least have them on display. When they come out with a new bag, like the Blogger Bag, it’s hard to know what stores carry it. I know I can order them online, but I don’t always like buying things sight unseen, especially functional things like laptop bags. I ended up finding it at the Potrero Hill Sports Basement.

UPDATE: In August 2007 switched to the Timbuk2 Hacker bag.
