Cool idea but the execution left something to be desired. It's hard to care about grilled cheese when you've waited outside in line for over an hour because they didn't open the doors at 7 but at almost 8:15. Then, already crabby and jonesing for beer and cheesy goodness, would-be sandwich inspectors were confronted with more foam than beer and the second line from hell. Awesome hats and a boisterous crowd made it a good time, but next time, maybe stuff could be a little better organized. My advice for attendees: have a snack before you go.

Due to overwhelming response, we've opened up the competition to TEN additional contestants. I love to see the grilled cheese gauntlet being tossed down with such vigor! Viva la queso!

I have fond memories of Burning Man 1997, when Bianca's Smut Shack provided grilled cheese sandwiches, clowns, fire & f*ucking.

Finally, our own arena for the ass-spackle-tacular arts!
The East Bay Society for Meat, Guns and Liberty hopes to field its new Cheese Team , the "F***in Jerks," and their new creations: The "Joy Division Special" and the "Eastern Af-Front" in the Kama Sutra Division.

Half the battle is showing up, you GC cowards!!

Worth coming to if only to correct the infantile "sammich" spelling currently in vogue with the oppressive GCI status quo.
"Sanguich" is clearly the appellation of choice among the bleeding edge GC cognoscenti!!

GC gauntlet thrown - ***over and out***
