The 18th Annual Webby Awards People’s Voice is now open for voting through April 24 and the winners will be announced on April 29. The Webby Awards honor excellence on the Internet in a series of categories that fall under five different types of entries: Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, Mobile & Apps, and Social. Every category under these entry types receives two kinds of awards, The Webby Award chosen by members of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and The Webby People’s Voice Award that is open to the public for voting.
In an attempt to prevent mass vote manipulation and the like, users must first register to vote. Once users are registered, voting is a simple matter of picking categories and then a winner. The full list of categories under each entry type is available on The Webby Awards website.
