10th Annual How Weird Street Faire

The 10th annual How Weird Street Faire takes place this Sunday, May 10th (which also happens to be Mother’s Day) between Howard and 2nd Streets in San Francisco.

The festival describes itself as ten blocks of art and celebration of world peace with a pantsload of dance music (10 stages). Some of the people performing include Symbiosis, Kontrol, Purgatory Cruiser, Muti Music, Opulent Temple, and more. Hook yourself up with a Magic Sticker and get a buck off drinks, discounts on after parties, clothing, food, gear, etc.

Along with the Bring Your Own Big Wheel race, this might be the last year for How Weird. The city has been shaking down the producer and wants its ten grand up front, which is difficult considering it gets most of its money from donations at the gate on the day of the event.

2009 might go down as the year that the city killed the fun in SF.
