Varnish Fine Art

Ok, it’s time to announce the venue for our Laughing Squid 10th Anniversary Party, (previously mentioned here). The party will take place on Saturday, November 12th at Varnish Fine Art, an beautiful gallery located in San Francisco’s SOMA district on Natoma Street between 1st and 2nd Streets. The owners, Kerri and Jen, have been doing some really great stuff with their gallery and are a pleasure to work with. We had our Laughing Squid Customer Appreciation Party at Varnish back in January and it was a huge success, so what better place for us to celebrate our 10th year.

Varnish has hosted many great art exhibits and events in the recent past, including: JD Lasica’s Darknet book release party, a Ron English solo show, the Hi Fructose Release Party, the amazing Stanislav Szukalski exhibit, V. Vale’s very special Jean Jacques Perrey event, the last two Tag Tuesday events and the current exhibit, Frank Garvey: Childrens’ Crusade (the closing party is on October 29th).

The show that will be up on the walls during the Laughing Squid party is Gale Hart’s exhibit “Why Not Eat Your Pet”.
